Phi Theta Kappa

The Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) is the international honor society of students attending two-year colleges.

Cost and financial aid are major barriers for transfer students, especially if they are paying for their own education. There are nearly 800 four-year college partners who provide $46 million in scholarships just for PTK members. The average transfer scholarship offered by partner colleges is $2,500 a year!

Students at the Mississippi State Penitentiary became the first incarcerated individuals in the state of Mississippi to be inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Beta Omega Beta Chapter, which began in 2023.

Student Achievement Ceremony

This ceremony was created in 2021. It is held each year in May at Parchman to honor all students for their hard work, dedication and successful completion of their courses.
