Don Brock Jr. to Speak at MDCC Health Sciences Pinning and Graduation Ceremony
MOORHEAD (April 24, 2026) — Mississippi Delta Community College will welcome Don Brock
Jr. as the keynote speaker for its Health Sciences Pinning and Graduation Ceremony
on Thursday, May 7, at 10 a.m. in the J.T. Hall Coliseum on the Moorhead campus.
Brock is a partner in the Whittington, Brock & Swayze, P.A. in Greenwood, where he has practiced general and civil law for more than 30 years. His work focuses on real estate transactions, business formation and advising, wills and estates, and local government law. Since 2011, he has served as City Attorney for the City of Greenwood.
A graduate of Pillow Academy, Brock was named Mr. Pillow Academy and later received the school’s Distinguished Alumni Award. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from University of Mississippi and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
Brock currently serves on the Mississippi Board of Bar Commissioners and the Mississippi Bar Executive Committee and is a past president of the Leflore County Bar Association. He holds the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been voted Greenwood’s Favorite Attorney by readers of The Greenwood Commonwealth for the past six years.
Passionate about education and mentorship, Brock has served as an associate adjunct professor at Mississippi Valley State University since 2024. He teaches courses including Introduction to Law, Civil Procedure, Family Law, and Critical Thinking and sponsors the university’s Mock Trial Team.
Deeply committed to the Mississippi Delta, Brock has served as president of the United Way of Leflore County, the Boys & Girls Club of Leflore County, and the Greenwood Kiwanis Club. He is also a frequent emcee for charitable events and the Greenwood Leflore Chamber of Commerce annual meeting.
Brock and his wife, Romney, have been married since 1993 and are the parents of four children.
Mississippi Delta Community College will recognize Health Sciences graduates during the ceremony, celebrating their achievements as they prepare to enter the healthcare field.
